GIPA to Juvenile Justice NSW for clarification on the behavioural management policies and procedures used in NSW juvenile justice facilities, in particular those which pertain to the use of solitary confinement.

GIPA to Juvenile Justice NSW for:

1. All policies and procedures relating to punishment and/or behavioural management in NSW juvenile justice facilities.
2. All policies and procedures relating to the use of solitary confinement in NSW juvenile justice facilities.
3. All policies and procedures relating to the oversight of solitary confinement incidences in NSW juvenile justice facilities.

We note that for the purpose of this application solitary confinement refers to any instance where juveniles are confined in their cells alone for the purpose of punishment.  We are seeking documents created and/or enforced/applicable from 1 January 2016.
