GIPA request to NSW Police Force for training materials related to TASER weapons. Information was provided in an extensive hard copy document which has been scanned in 28 parts. A highlight of the documents provided was the recommendation that police aim the weapon at the centre of body mass (near the heart).

1. Training materials·used by and/or for NSW Police for the training and certification of NSW Police to
carry and use TASERs. Including but not limited to, the test or tests required to be passed by NSW
Police to obtain the certification.
2. Training materials used by and/or for NSW Police for the re-certification of NSW Police to carry and
use TASERs. Including but not limited to, the test or tests required to be passed by NSW Police to
obtain the re-certification.
3. Training materials used by and/or for NSW Police for the training and certification of NSW Police to
become TASER instructors. Including but not limited to, the test or tests required to be passed
by NSW Police to obtain the certification via the TASER Instructors Course.
4. Training materials used by and/or for NSW Police for the training and certification of NSW Policeto
become Master TASER instructors. Including but not limited to, the test or tests required to be passed
by NSW Police to obtain the certification via the Master TASER Course.
